Humane Discourse
Our Philosophy
Curiosity and Compassion
Through a multi-week workshop series, we attempt to collectively develop a deep understanding of healthy interpersonal dynamics, defining what it means to communicate humanely --- specifically with those who view the world differently than we do.
We intentionally do not focus on specific issues, rather, we explore why issues arise and how to curiously and thoughtfully engage, regardless of the topic. We put explicit focus on values, calling attention to the various ways individuals form opinions and political beliefs.

We do not ask participants to change their minds, we simply expect everyone to be curious; if you learn something new, perhaps your perspective may shift. Above all, we attempt to center care --- the driving force of community and society.
